Appellate decision concerning a case I tried as a prosecutor, State v. Barragan. 1999 This case was taken up later by the Innocence Project based on the poor performance of defense counsel, but that went nowhere. The court reporter was convinced of the defendant's actual innocence, but she wasn't paying attention that his alibi's timing would still have given him time to begin the crime spree.
